Dear BON Members,
I hope that all of the BON Members are keeping well and healthy during this unusual time. As Chairman of the founding sponsors, I have been delighted by the way BON 2018 and its predecessors gathered scientists together to present and disseminate scientific findings, and have them published together in leading journals. If the Covid-19 outbreak teaches us one thing it is that nothing beats the importance of understanding and managing major diseases to protect and enhance human life. In that light I can confirm we are continuing to prepare for BON 2021 as scheduled next July, and will hold it as scheduled at Downing College Cambridge if circumstances permit. I remain in continued contact with Professor Nolan who is keeping me up to date will all the preparations for BON 2021, and we all look forward to a unique event next year. We will focus on presenting the results of important clinical trials and other research and advancing the global understanding of the medical conditions faced in our chosen field. It’s vital work, and thanks to our organisers, co-sponsors and yourself we will succeed.
Thank you, Alan Howard (Chairman, Howard Foundation)
