We are pleased to announce the winners of the Howard Foundation Travel Bursary 2018. In first place was Aruna Gorusupudi from the University of Utah, USA with her abstract entitled “Absorption and Delivery of Synthetic VLC-PUFAs to Mouse Retina”. In second place was Hiroyuki Sasano from the University of Jikei, Japan with his abstract “Macular pigment formation in premature infants evaluated by fundus reflectometry”.
Prof. John Nolan, Chair of the BON 2018 Conference, said “the standard of the abstracts for the Howard Foundation Bursary was exceptionally high. This year we had an increase in the number of abstracts submitted for the travel bursary award (320% increase), making this a very competitive competition with truly novel and exciting research topics. We look forward to seeing the posters in July and would like to thank the Howard Foundation again for supporting the travel bursaries”
